The league has several openings for board positions that we desperately need to fill as well as a need for periodic help as Concession Stand Managers this season. Please consider supporting your child's league and helping to make it better by volunteering a few hours of your time.

Concession stand manager duties would include committing to one day a week or perhaps every other week depending on the number of volunteers to open, operate and close the concession stand during evenings with games. Time required would be roughly 3 hours, from 5:00pm to about 8:30pm. Training would be provided along with help as needed from the Officer of the Day board member on duty and team parent volunteers. 

The Officer of the Day is a board member who is responsible for getting the fields ready to play during the season. This includes getting to zoom around in the golf cart and Gator making sure the balls, chalkers, and any other needed equipment are on the fields before games. Then doing a little clean up at the end of the evening gathering trash bags on the Gator. Simple. Plus you get a free meal each night you work and the joy of seeing boys and girls of various ages enjoying America's past time.

A great time was had by 19 volunteers who passed out water and gatorade to the runners of the 16th Annual Community Hospital Indianapolis Marathon. Fall Creek's aid station was along the route at the 11 mile mark in beautiful Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park.

This was FCLL's second time volunteering for this event, and is a fun and easy way to earn money and exposure for our Little League. We hope to have even more volunteers from our league participate next year.
