Update for FCSB Spring Season, Coronavirus and COVID-19 Response - May 20

The FCSB board would like to thank you for submitting your survey responses, for the emails, phone calls, texts and even letters expressing your appreciation, support, understanding and thanks for our efforts to prepare for a potential spring season in these unusual times.

We also want to thank those who stepped up and volunteered to help support and implement any needed policies and procedures to protect everyone concerned for the potential spring season.

We are truly one FCSB family!

After reviewing the survey responses from our families and evaluating the CDC and State recommendations, it is with heavy hearts that the FCSB board has decided to cancel the 2020 Recreational Spring Season.

We fully intend to offer a 2020 Fall Ball season starting about the time your ballplayers start school.  We are planning to have a more robust Fall Ball season and will keep you informed as we continue discussions with our league partners.

The travel teams are still planning on playing in tournaments sanctioned by USSSA, Bullpen and other
travel organizations.  There has been some discussion of the possibility of playing games in an all-star or Sunday select format, but these are still in the discussion stages.

Tasks, both ongoing and completed, required expended funds: preparing the fields for the season, repairing the drainage on Jacobs Field, repairing the fences and equipment entrance gates for numerous fields and repairing the dugout roofs on several fields, bills for utilities, and insurance.  These costs have  depleted our funds to the point we are not able to offer 100% refunds.  We will hold $30 from each child’s registration with a maximum of $90 for a family.

We are offering the following options:

  1. Donate 100% of the remaining funds.  These donations are tax deductible since FCSB is a 501 C3 organization.

  2. Donate 50% of the remaining funds and receive a refund of the other half.

  3. Receive a refund minus the $30 mentioned above.

  4. Apply it to the registration your child(ren) in full payment for the 2020 Fall Season

  5. Apply it to the registration your child(ren)in full payment for the 2021 Spring Season

Hope to see you on the fields in the future, please stay safe.

Update for FCSB Spring Season, Coronavirus and COVID-19 Response - April 5

Lee Road Park, all the diamonds and facilities are currently closed.

Again, the volunteer board members of Fall Creek Softball and Baseball (FCSB) continue to follow and stay aware of the unprecedented changing environment that you, your ballplayers, your families and extended families are currently facing in social distancing and combating coronavirus and COVID-19.  Like you, our volunteer board members, coaches and concession stand workers have children and grandchildren among the ballplayers at FCSB. We all are committed to facing the new challenges we are confronted with and will face this season in providing a wholesome family fun environment for all our ballplayers.

We want you to feel confident that we will follow all the directives and guidelines of Governor Holcomb and the medical authorities and implement needed changes to protect you, your ball players, your families and extended families.

With Governor Eric Holcomb’s latest directive to close all Indiana schools for the remainder of the school year and IHSAA cancelling the spring sports season, the FCSB board continues to look at several dates for starting and ending the spring season.  We are also going to try to complete the season and still leave you and your family time before school starts.

We want to aid you, your ballplayers, your families and your extended families in your return to a sense of normalcy in your respective lives.  We want you to have that time before school starts in July or August.
